Templates & themes

Fifty-two ready-made designs, every one a real retail format at a size you can buy paper for. Open one, change what you like.

Opening the gallery

Click Templates at the far left of the designer toolbar. Every tile is a live miniature drawn from the actual design with sample product data — not a screenshot — so what you see is what opens.

Your label stock

Colour themes

Nine coordinated schemes. Changing theme recolours every element that has a theme role, leaving everything else alone.

ThemeSuits
Classic blackBlack on white. Reads at any size, cheapest to print.
Sale redThe conventional discount look.
Clearance yellowYellow and black. Impossible to miss.
Fresh greenProduce, organic and health lines.
Ocean blueAquarium, seafood and cool-toned ranges.
Premium navyUnderstated, for higher price points.
Warm bakeryBakery, deli and hand-made goods.
ClinicalPharmacy, medical and compliance.
Thermal monoPure black only — the safe choice for thermal printers.

How theme roles work

Each element can be tagged with a role in Properties → Behaviour → Theme role:

RoleUsed for
Main textProduct names and body copy.
Secondary textSKUs, suppliers, small print.
Accent / priceThe price, and anything meant to stand out.
Banner backgroundA coloured strip. Its text colour is paired automatically.
Banner textLettering that sits on a banner.
Label backgroundA tint across the whole label.
Not themedA fixed colour that no theme change will alter.

Templates come with roles already assigned, which is why switching theme on one restyles the whole design coherently rather than half of it. Elements you add yourself start unthemed — give them a role if you want them to follow.

Banner background and banner text stay paired. Change to a dark theme and banner lettering goes light automatically, so you can never end up with black text on a black strip.

Importing Azuri Label templates

If you are moving from Azuri Label, your existing .albl templates come across with their layouts intact.

  1. Open Templates
  2. Click Import a folder and point it at your Azuri Labels folder
  3. It searches subfolders too, and lists everything it found
  4. Each tile shows the label size, how many per sheet, the element count and which data fields it uses
  5. Click one to open it

Positions, fonts, colours, borders and barcode types all convert. Azuri writes data bindings as #formula#[Product Name]; ours is the same [Product Name] without the prefix, so an imported template binds to your existing spreadsheets with no rework.

Use Choose files instead to pick individual templates. A file that cannot be read is skipped and reported, and does not abandon the rest of the batch.

Check the first imported template against a printed original before running a large job. The conversion has been tested against a real production library, but Azuri has features we do not model, and it is cheaper to find out on one sheet.

Saving your own

Press Ctrl+S to save a design as a project. It appears under the Projects tab, and holds the layout, not the products — so next week you open it, tick a different set of products and print.
