About
RetailLabel Pro is designed, built and supported by one person: Amit Panta.
It started with a straightforward problem. Shops need price tags, shelf labels and barcodes, and the usual answers are a word processor fighting a mail merge, or label software that costs more than the printer and still cannot read your spreadsheet properly. Neither is a good afternoon.
So this does one job carefully instead: design a label once, point it at whatever spreadsheet you already keep, and print accurate labels on A4 sheets or a roll printer. Every measurement is real millimetres from the designer through to the paper, because a price tag that is three per cent small does not line up with the sheet it was cut for.
How it is built
The desktop application runs on your computer, not in a browser. Your product data stays on your machine — spreadsheets are read locally and are never uploaded. The only thing that talks to this website is licence activation and the update check.
It works offline. If your internet drops mid-afternoon, you keep printing.
Support
Emails are answered by the person who wrote the code, which means you get a real answer rather than a ticket number. If something is broken, saying so is genuinely useful — most of what is good in this software exists because somebody reported that it was not.
