Terms of Service
Plain English, and short. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you buy.
1. Who you are dealing with
This software is provided by Your Business Pty Ltd ("we", "us"). By buying or using the software you agree to these terms.
2. What we provide
A licence to install and use RetailLabel Pro on the number of computers included in the plan you bought, for as long as your licence is valid. You are buying the right to use the software, not ownership of it.
3. Your account and licence key
Your licence key identifies your business. Keep it private — anyone with it can activate the software against your allowance. You may not sell, sublicense, publish or share your key with anyone outside your business.
We store only a scrambled (hashed) version of your key. This means we cannot recover it for you, but it also means a breach of our systems cannot leak working keys. If you lose your key, contact us and we will issue a replacement.
4. Payment
Subscription plans renew automatically at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. You may cancel at any time and will keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. One-time purchases are not recurring.
Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
If a payment fails we will email you and your licence goes on hold. Access is restored as soon as payment succeeds. We do not delete your data over a failed payment.
5. Fair use on unlimited plans
Where a plan advertises unlimited devices, that means unlimited within one business. It is not intended to be shared between unrelated businesses or resold. Unusual activation patterns are flagged for review; we will contact you before taking any action.
6. What you may not do
- Reverse engineer, decompile or modify the software, except where Australian law expressly permits it
- Remove or circumvent licence checks
- Redistribute, resell or rent the software or your key
- Use it to produce labels that are unlawful, misleading or infringe someone else’s rights
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you print. We do not check your product data, prices, allergen information, or compliance with labelling regulations in your industry.
7. Your data
Your product catalogue and label designs are stored on your own computer. We hold your email address, your hashed licence key, which computers it is activated on, and your payment records. See our privacy policy.
8. Availability
The software works offline. Our servers are only needed to activate a licence and to re-check it periodically. We aim to keep them available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The software is designed to keep working for at least seven days without reaching us.
9. Your rights under Australian law
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures you are entitled to a replacement or refund, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the software remedied if it is not of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Nothing in these terms limits those rights.
10. Limitation of liability
Subject to clause 9, our total liability arising from your use of the software is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or business interruption.
11. Ending the agreement
You may stop using the software at any time. We may suspend or terminate your licence if you materially breach these terms — for example by sharing your key — and will normally contact you first.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will email you at least 30 days beforehand. Continuing to use the software after that means you accept the new terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
