End User Licence Agreement
This covers the software itself. Our terms of service cover the commercial relationship.
1. Licence granted
Subject to your payment and compliance with this agreement, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use RetailLabel Pro on the number of computers included in your plan, for your business purposes.
2. Ownership
The software is licensed, not sold. We retain all intellectual property rights in it. You own everything you create with it — your designs, templates and printed output are yours entirely, and we claim no rights over them.
3. Permitted use
- Install on up to your plan’s number of computers within your business
- Create unlimited labels and designs (subject to any plan limit on label count)
- Use the output commercially, including printing labels for goods you sell
- Make backup copies of your own designs and data
4. Restrictions
- Do not copy, distribute or make the software available to anyone outside your business
- Do not reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except to the extent Australian law expressly permits despite this restriction
- Do not remove, disable or circumvent licence verification
- Do not rent, lease, lend, sell or sublicense it
- Do not use it to develop a competing product
5. Licence verification
The software contacts our servers to activate and to verify your licence periodically. It transmits your licence key, a one-way device fingerprint, your operating system version and the app version. It does not transmit your product data or label designs.
The software continues to work for at least seven days between successful checks, so a loss of connectivity does not interrupt your work.
6. Updates
Updates are provided while your licence is active and are governed by this agreement. We may occasionally require an update where one is necessary for security or compatibility.
7. Third-party components
The software includes open source components under their own licences. A complete list is available in the application under Help → About.
8. Termination
This licence ends if your subscription lapses or if you materially breach this agreement. On termination you must stop using the software. Your designs and data remain yours and are not deleted from your computer.
9. Disclaimer and liability
To the extent permitted by law, and subject to the Australian Consumer Law guarantees that cannot be excluded, the software is provided as is. You are responsible for verifying that what you print is accurate and complies with any labelling regulations applying to your industry.
10. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
